Wednesday, October 28, 2009 |

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has certified the rugged convertible notebook version of Dell Latitude XT2, it is called Dell Latitude XT2 XFR. The Dell Latitude XT2 is equipped with 12.1-inch touchscreen display, obviously, the XFR model has the same screen. Probably, the list of basic characteristics remained the same, but this is not known. Reported only that the Dell Latitude XT2 XFR has a built-in modem, CDMA/EVDO/GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSPA, obviously, we are talking about multiple wireless options.

Dell Latitude XT2 XFR notebook is enclosed in a solid body with rubber shock absorbers on both sides. Obviously, it can withstand a fall onto a hard surface, as well as high pressure. Indeed, Dell Latitude XT2 XFR is looks much more cumbersome than the conventional version of this notebook. The display is set for a strong joint. Interestingly, the touchpad is located above the display. Most likely, its touchpad for Latitude XT2 XFR is also available. There is no word, when this Dell’s first rugged tablet will be appears on market.
