pureSilicon announced the expansion of its line of SSD with new Renegade R2 family. pureSilicon Renegade R2 SSD series are included in the 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch form factor with a capacity of 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256 GB. All of them are built on 34nm NAND memory chips with a SLC (single-level cell) and equipped with SATA 3.0 Gbps or PATA connection interfaces. The rate of sequential read and writes data from these drives is 255 MB/s and 180 MB/s, respectively.![]()
In addition, pureSilicon Renegade R2 SSD series have the unibody from solid body anodized aluminum and consist of high quality components. This allows them to be resistant to high temperatures, shock, vibration and high humidity. In addition, the optional inclusion of available data protection technologies, SiPher, provides hardware 256-bit AES encryption of stored information.
Shipping of 2.5-inch Renegade R2 model with a capacity of 4, 8, 32, 64 and 128 GB is already started. At the same time, the 256GB Renegade R2 model has SATA interface, and the 1.8-inch Renegade R2 has PATA interface, as well as all the models with the function of data encryption should appear on sale in the first quarter of 2010.
