Samsung Needle Slim LED-backlit HDTV, only 3mm thick

Samsung Electronics announced a Needle Slim LED-backlit HDTV, according to the manufacturer, it is the slimmest television equipped with LED technology.

Samsung Needle Slim HDTV is a 40-inch screen size and only 3mm thick, which is comparable with the characteristics of Sony XEL-1 OLED TV. Samsung’s current LED TVs serial have almost 30mm thick.


New Samsung Needle Slim LED-backlit HDTV is supports Full HD resolution of 1080p, has a refresh rate of 120Hz and 5000:1 contrast ratio.

There is no information about its price or availability on market, but it is expected to be released in Japan soon and then debut on worldwide market.
